As a visual artist living in New York, Xianzhi Fu explores the connection between nature and the body. She is currently focusing on video installation and video art, employing a blend of media, including video mapping, sculpture, and photography, to create evocative pieces that resonate deeply. In my paintings, I work to leverage color and contrast to abstractly interpret songs that have had a meaningful impact or have helped me gain perspective throughout various points of my life. The paintings are my way of transcribing the enthusiasm, inspiration, and conceptual aspects I receive from this music, and the work then evolves as I continue to explore new techniques and approaches.
