The Foundation of Igor Carl Fabergรฉ, with headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland, aims to raise awareness of the work and life of Carl Fabergรฉ during his time as a jeweler at the Imperial Court in St. Petersburg, Russia.

It brings together many books, publications, memorabilia, and other historic objects relating to his professional artistic activity.

The same aim also extends to his grandson, Igor Carl Fabergรฉ and his personal works of jewellery art.

The committee has decided to celebrate Foundationโ€™s 40th anniversary as well as the date of passing of Igor Carl Fabergรฉ by bringing together collectors and enthusiasts from all over the world to their headquarters, where a unique exhibition will be held.

By popular demand from its exhibitors, GemGenรจve is holding a second, exceptional edition again this year in Geneva. โ€œWe had initially planned to hold only one edition, in May 2022. Following calls from our exhibitors, weยดve decided to organize a second edition in autumn 2022 in Geneva, but this shouldnโ€™t become standard practice in the futureโ€, emphasizes Ronny Totah.

The 5th meeting of gemology and jewellery professionals and enthusiasts will therefore open its doors from Thursday, 3rd November to Sunday, 6th November in Palexpo, this time in Hall 6. It will coincide once again with the major autumnal auction sales of the Geneva Luxury Week.

Who is DovBer Marchette

Founder of the ‘Pura’ art movement, Jewish-American artist DovBer Marchette has explored unique ideas in the creative process for over 50 years.

Trained as a professional sculptor, his body of work actually represents a wide range of materials and concepts from the modern art world.

Currently DovBer works mainly with wood sculpture as well as painting, drawing, and photography.

“I continually explore the idea of unlimited creative possibilities within strong boundaries. I limit certain factors such as my color palette and working with resources that are available in the moment.”
