The 7th edition of the exhibition catering to professionals and enthusiasts of precious stones and jewelry is scheduled to commence from Thursday, November 2nd, to Sunday, November 5th, within the premises of Palexpo Hall 6, the same venue as the November 2022 edition. Occupying an expansive 14,000 square meters of exhibition space, this event strategically coincides with the significant autumn auctions and other activities during the Geneva Luxury Week. The event’s organizers are diligently crafting a novel layout, set to be unveiled in due course.
This May, the Designer Vivarium is set to return to GemGenève, featuring five international contemporary designers, with four of them being new to the Vivarium, presenting their work at GemGenève for the first time. As usual, the Designer Vivarium is curated by renowned jewellery historian, Vivienne Becker, who meticulously scouts the globe for fresh and creative talent, seeking out independent, under-the-radar designer jewellers, artists, and goldsmiths who have something unique to offer in their jewellery. Becker’s discerning eye seeks out a strong, singular creative vision, intense individuality, and sophistication of craftsmanship.
Hosted by Nadège Totah, the 6th Edition of GemGenève is proud to welcome new talented jewellery designers who will have the opportunity to exhibit their shining creations in a dedicated space. Their jewellery art offer a fascinating glimpse into a very different universe of ideas and inspirations, a world of innovation and ingenuity that highlights each creator’s individuality. With very different styles and techniques, each designer draws inspiration from the mysteries of nature in order, as they explain, to create collections imbued with the powerful symbolism that has always been an essential element of jewels. All of these designs share a common focus: the meaning, message and role of the jewel, far beyond the purely ornamental, giving them a value that exceeds their intrinsic worth. Above all, the gemstone is and has always been a talisman to protect and invoke goodwill; a talisman to keep close to us at all times, reminding us to live in a harmony of body, heart and soul.
Until now assessing rough diamonds was an inaccurate subjective process, at best. This, along with the difficulty in providing unique identification means, reduced their attractiveness as collateral. The DDFF and Sarine’s groundbreaking cooperation utilizes Sarine’s various proven industry leading technologies, including the Galaxy® and DiaExpert® platforms along with the Advisor® and related software processes, to accurately, objectively and rapidly evaluate rough diamonds, as well as uniquely tagging them, with the result being the ability to reliably ascertain the optimally produced polished diamonds’ potential value, and hence confidently provide financing. The DDFF will apply Sarine’s technologies to evaluate if the rough diamond is eligible for the requested financing, and at what level.

Hod Hasharon (Israel), 11 January 2023 – Singapore Exchange Mainboard listed Sarine Technologies Ltd (“Sarine” and along with its subsidiaries “the Group”) (U77:SI; SARN.TA), a worldwide leader in the development, manufacturing, marketing and sale of precision technology products for the evaluation, planning, processing, measurement, grading and trading of diamonds and gems, is pleased to announce the signing of a non-binding MOU to purchase, subject to the usual due diligence reviews and to reaching and executing a definitive agreement, a majority share of GCAL against an all cash consideration.

GENEVA, 23 AUGUST 2022 – It’s official! By popular demand from its exhibitors, GemGenève is holding a second, exceptional edition again this year in Geneva. “We had initially planned to hold only one edition, in May 2022. Following calls from our exhibitors, we´ve decided to organize a second edition in autumn 2022 in Geneva, but this shouldn’t become standard practice in the future”, emphasizes Ronny Totah.
The 5th meeting of gemology and jewellery professionals and enthusiasts will therefore open its doors from Thursday, 3rd November to Sunday, 6th November in Palexpo, this time in Hall 6. It will coincide once again with the major autumnal auction sales of the Geneva Luxury Week.
GENEVA, 29 MARCH, 2022 – As always, Vivienne, aided and abetted by Ida Faerber, has scoured the globe for independent, under-the-radar designers, each with a strong concept, a well-defined design direction, individualistic point of view and sophistication of craftsmanship and use of materials. She explains too that as a historian she particularly appreciates designs that acknowledge and respect the long and rich history of the jewel, its rituals and traditions, while at the same time challenging perceptions of the role and meaning of the jewel. The styles represented in the 2022 Designer Vivarium, as always, are all very different from each other, showing the breadth, depth and versatility of expression in today’s world of contemporary jewellery.
